Players wage war using human armies and diplomacy, progress through development ages, enhance military and economic performance with Age of Mythology transports players to a time when heroes did battle with monsters of legend and the gods intervened in the affairs of mortal men.
On the way he rescues the wise Chiron, a centaur hero, Egyptian hero Queen Amanra, Norse Hero Regenlief (the fallen Valkyrie) and encounters Gargarensis who is trying to open the gates of tartarus for the Titan Kronos to escape who has been banished by Zeus himself in the pits of Tartarus. The campaign is story is about a hero Arkantos from Atlantis who reluctantly on insistence of his elder (Krios) joins the Greeks in the Trojan War but unknown to him is that the Trojan War is but a small part of the huge adventure that he is going on. It has got two playable modes, one of which is a single player campaign(the story mode) and the other being the versus mode in which one or more than one human player connected to each other can play. Age of Mythology is a Strategy Game in which you collect resources, build buildings, a good economy and spend your resources to train army of soldiers, heroes and myth units to fight.
